You can use them easily and at any time of the day or whenever you need it the most.

There are a lot of face masks out there and a lot of choices, and it can be confusing. Don't get overwhelmed, we've got you covered. Whether you'll be using a store-bought or homemade face mask, here are different types of face masks and tips on how to use them.

Clay Mask

This is the most common type of face mask and it's known to help detoxify skin, minimize skin pores and minimize skin spots without drying the skin out. Clay mask is a mineral-rich mud and it's known as a natural absorbent of dirt, oil and other bacteria that clogged on the skin's surface. As the clay dries out, it pulls out dirt, absorbs excess oil and lessens skin shine.

Here's how to apply it:

  1. Wash your face or it's best to apply after a shower.
  2. Apply a thin layer of clay mask on your damp skin and avoid the area around your eyes.
  3. Leave it for 10 minutes to dry out and rinse with warm water and pat skin dry with a clean towel.
  4.

Note: Clay mask is a great skin treatment in the morning. It makes your skin smooth and helps control excess oil all day.

Gel Mask

This type of mask has a gel texture and cool to the skin. This face mask is botanical-infused that helps make the skin smooth. It’s best for sensitive skin types.

Here's how to apply it:

  1. Wash your face or it's best to apply after a shower.
  2. Use a clean and soft towel to dry your skin.
  3. Apply a generous amount of clay mask on your skin and avoid the area around your eyes.
  4. Leave the mask for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

Note: If you want to start your day fresh, use it in the morning after taking a shower.

Sheet Mask

This face mask is well-known for its face-shape sheets of fabric or hydro-gel drenched in concentrated essence, oil or serum. It’s also easy to use and very effective. When you left the sheet on the skin for 10-20 minutes, it sticks to the face and leaves every drop of the treatment liquid of the sheet on the skin.

Here's how to apply it:

  1. Wash your face to clean.
  2. Gently unfold the sheet mask and get rid of the clear backing.
  3. Carefully place the top layer of the sheet on damp skin. Smooth it outward from the center of your face. Then place the bottom layer of the sheet and repeat it.
  4. Leave the mask for 10 minutes and peel off all the layers and gently massage the remaining liquid treatment in the skin to fully absorb it.

Note: Leave the excess liquid treatment in the sheet mask pouch and apply it on your skin the next night to give your skin an extra boost.

Sleeping Mask

This type of mask is used overnight as the name indicates. This leave-on mask has hydrating effects on the skin and contains anti-aging properties. While you're sleeping, your skin absorbs the skin treatment.

Here's how to apply it:

  1. After skin cleansing, pat dry.
  2. Apply a thick layer of sleeping mask on the skin.
  3. Leave for 10 minutes, then wipe off excess - don't rinse.
